We are pleased to announce the publication of our book, Living Green: Communities that Sustain. Through stories of extraordinary communities across North America, Living Green examines the relationship between people and built communities and showcases the social side of living green. The stories in this book take to Dockside, a planned green community in Victoria, two co-housing communities in Washington D.C., an eco-village in Los Angeles and other communities across Canada and the U.S.

Richard Fedrizzi, President, CEO and Founding Chairman, U.S. Green Building Council, says about Living Green, “Most of us are in intellectual agreement about the importance of sustainability, but it is in these richly detailed stories that we can find the inspiration to act, and it’s not a moment too soon.”
Robert Berkebile, architect and participant in the creation of USGBC, LEED and the concept of Living Buildings, says, "This is the book I've been waiting for, and the book that will become mandatory reading for anyone interested in understanding or creating quality communities."
Bill McKibben, author of Deep Economy, says, "The key word in this title is 'communities.' It's on idea we've let languish too long, and it's inspiring to read these accounts of its comeback."
Charles Durrett, Architect and author of Senior Cohousing, says, "This book hits on the fundamental, yet revolutionary idea that the roots of social justice and living lighter on the planet, and therefore achieving a sustainable future, lie in how we build our housing, our towns, and our cities."
